As of midnight, the State of New York is now honored for having five (5) trees selected in the new millennium for the Annual Lighting Ceremony at Rockefeller Center.

If you have been keeping track, you will also know that the height of The Tree is twenty feet taller than the one chosen six years ago in 2010 from Mahopac, NY.

To date, the State of New York, the State of Connecticut and the State of New Jersey are all tied in having five (5) trees selected in the new millennium for the Annual Lighting Ceremony at Rockefeller Center so the tree seleceted in 2017 will put that state in the lead.
