Toss or Recycle the LED Lights

While checking through mail this week, I came across a note asking if Rockefeller Center will toss or recycle the LED lights. Well, LED lights can last many years and with The Tree being illuminated for a few hours for approximately five weeks each year, we can expect the lights to be around for many, many years to come providing they are not upgraded to more efficient lights that become available in the future.

If you recall, The Tree started to have LED lights in 2007 (over nine years ago) and the number of lights also kept growing as well.
