It has been a week (give or take a few hours) since The Tree arrived in Manhattan but people are still sending me messages via Google Hangouts app and via email about ‘When does the Rockefeller Tree go up in 2014′?’ instead of reading the news section.

Just for fun, I would have like to say that The Tree is not coming this year as the annual lighting is canceled due to budget cuts but some of the requests are from little kids who got a hold of their parent’s iOS and Android device so I can’t let them be disappointed over the holidays.

Here is the skinny. The Tree has already arrived in the State of New York and is here for a week now (with seven more weeks to go) in Rockefeller Center and is slowly transforming for the 2014 ceremony which is a little over two weeks away. Got it? Good. About two days ago, the Swarovski Star was added (the 11th time so far) and all looks on track as long as the weather gives workers a break.
