Viewing on Federal & Legal Holidays
Can you see The Tree on Federal & Legal Holidays? That was the question I found in our inbox last night. To get the answer, first, we need to know what and when are Federal & Legal Holidays and the times The Tree is displayed then see if there is an overlap of the two events.
Federal & Legal Holidays
* New Year’s Day
* Birthday of Martin Luther King, Jr.
* Lincoln’s Birthday
* Washington’s Birthday
* Memorial Day
* Independence Day
* Labor Day
* Columbus Day
* Election Day
* Veterans Day
* Thanksgiving Day
* Christmas Day
Since The Tree tends to arrive in Rockefeller Center in November, it can be seen from Thanksgiving to New Year’s Day (occasionally on Veterans Day) but it will only be illuminated on Christmas and New Year’s as the other dates are too soon for the annual ceremony.
