Trees Chosen for The Tree

The Tree for Rockefeller Center, should be a minimum of 65 feet (19 meters) tall, width proportional to height, and have a density so that one can barely see through it. There are also some intangible qualities – a majesty about how The Tree holds its foliage, its branches and structure – dark green, elegant and proud. When you see The Tree after its arrival by truck into to Rockefeller Plaza, you will know immediately why it was chosen.
